Let the Mt. Rose Ski and Snowboard School put more fun into your skiing and riding. Whether it is your first time skiing or riding, or you need help ripping it in The Chutes, our professional staff offers daily class and private lessons for er from beginners to experts. Lessons and rentals can be purchased all in one stop on the lower level of the main lodge. After all…Isn’t it all about having fun?

 The Next Step (2-hour group lesson) 

This isn't your first rodeo, but maybe it's been a while since you were last on snow.  The Next Step will refresh you on the basic skills of skiing and snowboarding without treating you like you've never seen snow.  We'll review stopping, turning and learning to ride the Ponderosa chairlift to long gentle slopes; gaining control and confidence. The Next Step includes a 2-hour lesson, beginner lift ticket and rental equipment.

- 2 hour lessons

- Next Step lessons go out at 10am and 1pm

Rates are date specific – subject to increase on weekends and holiday periods.

 Performance Workshops (2-hour group lessons)

INTERMEDIATE Workshops

Stuck in the wedge? If you want to ski more of the mountain and master the blue terrain, then the Mt. Rose intermediate workshops are for you. Learn to make parallel turns, gain speed control through turns, and have more fun on the intermediate runs.

BEYOND THE BLUES Workshops

Smaller bumps, shorter powder runs, more open terrain and lots of instruction for skiers and riders somewhat new to off trail skiing as well as those who just need more practice and feedback before moving up to more challenging situations.
